We’re looking for dedicated and calm-under-pressure Seasonal Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to help keep our guests and Model Citizens safe while delivering outstanding care in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.About the RoleAs an EMT at LEGOLAND New York Resort, you will provide emergency medical care to guests and employees in accordance with New York State regulations, Medical Director protocols, and company policies. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining a reassuring and guest-focused presence. This is a seasonal position.What You’ll Be DoingProvide basic life support and emergency medical care to guests and Model CitizensPerform patient examinations and screenings in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and medical protocolsSafely lift, move, restrain, and transport patients using stretchers and medical equipmentDrive medical carts to emergency and non-emergency scenes with due regard for safetyCoordinate patient care with inter-agency partners such as Fire, EMS, Police, and Security teamsMaintain medical supply inventories and readinessComplete patient care reports and Workers’ Compensation documentation accurately and timelyAssist with facility inspections, safety audits, and other duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 1 year of experience as a New York State EMT-BasicCurrent and valid NYS EMT-B certification (must be presented at interview)Proof of ambulance riding experience with a paid or volunteer agencyCurrent AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification requiredBasic knowledge of OSHA, hazard communication, and safety practicesProficiency with Microsoft Office productsExcellent verbal, written, communication, and customer service skillsMust be 18 years of age or olderPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods while carrying a 10-lb medical jump bagAbility to work outdoors in harsh and inclement weather conditionsRemain calm, adaptable, and decisive under pressure while working independentlySchedulingHeavy weekend availability required during off-peak operationsWeekday availability added during full operations from Memorial Day through Labor DayEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCurrent New York State EMT certification requiredWhy Join Team LEGOLAND?Our EMT team is known for strong seasonal retention, with many team members returning year after year.
