Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lincoln, New Hampshire. In this role, you will manage bookkeeping tasks, assist with financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team while maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage bookkeeping tasks for multiple entities, including data entry, account reconciliations, and payroll liability calculations. u2022 Prepare payroll returns and 1099 forms in compliance with accounting regulations. u2022 Balance account work papers with the general ledger and working trial balance to ensure accuracy. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to organize and maintain financial data. u2022 Assist in the preparation of financial reports that adhere to organizational standards. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate tax reporting and regulatory compliance. u2022 Conduct financial data entry and verify the accuracy of transactions. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, or areas requiring attention. u2022 Provide administrative support by organizing documents and maintaining efficient filing systems. Requirements u2022 Proven experience with corporate tax return preparation and compliance. u2022 Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining an accurate general ledger. u2022 Familiarity with payroll processes, including calculations and reporting. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions. u2022 Skilled in bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and financial data organization. u2022 Experience using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks. u2022 Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills to support collaborative work environments.
