Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.As a Telecommunications Engineer II,you will provide engineering of enterprise-wide telecommunication systems to include evaluation, design, provisioning, and implementation ofappropriate technologysolutions and serviceswithin the Cleveland Clinic this role, youwill serve as an architect for new telephony systems andbuildoutconstructs, ensure system performance, availability, and reliability of deployed technology / services delivered to clients. A caregiver inthispositionservesas an escalation point on complex technical problems and support issues providing problem diagnostic and consulting services, providing analytical, project management, and technical support with emphasis on voice switching and transmission facilities.A caregiver in this position worksremotelyout of Ohio, Florida, or Nevada, 8:00am-5:00pm,Monday-Friday, on-callas needed.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide evaluation, engineering,standardscompliance, provisioning, install planning, and implementation of projects (e.g.new site, build-out activities as well as system upgrades) and/or operational practices. Interprets business needs and matches them to appropriate telecom equipment and/or applications while providing effective and economical solutions to telecom business requirements (as constrained by governing budgets).Provide project budgeting estimates to include scope of work and contract reviews and municateproduction requirements foron-goingmaintenance and support.Provide design requirements and configuration of new and/or upgraded telecommunications hardware and software.Coordinate the installation of hardware, Operating System, applications software, and peripherals asrequired.Develop andcommunicatestechnical environmental requirements related to physical space, system security, power, HVAC, etc.Participate in project and change control meetings concerning the physical placement and installation of telecommunication solutions.Usea standard Project Book to document all related activities.Provide forthe design,planningand scheduling of integratingadditionalhardware, OS upgrades, or other enhancements into production systems asrequiredto sustain a supportable product.Provide project implementation schedules andmonitorsactivities and escalates issues within the vendor support channel and/or seniormanagementas necessary.Create documentation as needed in the support of productionturn overneeds,on goingmaintenance, and usage of voice service equipment.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Servicesand/or Telecommunications, or a minimum 10yearsequivalent experience.Minimumof 10yearsrelated experience ininformationsystems environment to include at least 5 years of extensive hands-on supportofa large multi-service environment isrequired.Experience with large scale VoIP enabled PBX products that support over 1000 stations.Examples include Cisco, Avaya, or NEC PBXs.For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification isrequiredwithin 6 months of position start date.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:10+ years Telecom experience in a large, complex 24x7 environmentProficiencywith Avaya Call Manager, System Manager and Session ManagerProficiencywithEsnaOfficelinx/Avaya IX MessagingProficiencycollecting and analyzing complex SIP tracesProven ability to manage upgrades of large Avaya CM systems in a hospital environmentProficiencywith Windows Server OSProficiencywith LinuxFamiliarity with VMwareProficiencywith Avaya CS1000 is preferableExposure to Cisco UCM is preferablePhysical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum Annual Salary: $84,200.00Maximum Annual Salary: $128,412.50The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
