This position is part-time, which cannot exceed 29.5 hours per work week and does not offer insurance benefits.SUMMARY:To coordinate the development of new and existing Highway Safety Programs throughout the state by evaluating highway safety needs and objectives of local governments, in accordance with NH Office of Highway Safety (NHOHS) rules and regulations promulgated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 7 yearsof education and experience after completion of high school.Education and experience must be in the fields of administration, economics, law enforcement, management, highway safety or enforcement, or other allied government regulatory activity.License/Certification:Valid drivers license.Other Requirements:1.Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check inorder to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.2.Some night travel and out-of-state travelrequired, as well as travel in inclement weather.Trainee Option:Candidates with an equivalent combination of 6+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in trainee status for this position.[]{style=
