Technician - Hicksville

Temco Logistics is seeking a dependable and skilled Driver and Appliance Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a 26 ft box truck to deliver and install household appliances to residential and commercial customers. This role requires a blend of driving expertise, physical capability, and technical proficiency to handle installations, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a safety-first work environment. Responsibilities: + Safely operate a 26 ft box truck for multi-stop delivery routes and appliance installations. + Load, deliver, and install household appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, and more. + Ensure proper handling and loading/unloading of appliances using lift gates and other equipment. + Utilize handheld devices to confirm delivery and maintain accurate documentation. + Work with basic water lines, valves, and electrical connections for appliance installations. + Provide outstanding customer service to builders, homeowners, and delivery customers by addressing questions and ensuring satisfaction. + Maintain a safe, accident-free work environment by following company safety standards. + Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly. + Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record. + Respond appropriately to on-road emergencies and incidents in line with company policies. + Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications: + Familiarity with driving and the use of installation tools and equipment for household appliances. + Previous experience delivering and installing appliances, including washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, hoods, and built-in units. + Proficiency with hardwired and built-in appliance installations is a plus. + Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients. + Experience driving appliance delivery trucks and performing multi-stop routes. + Ability to handle physical workloads, including lifting and moving items weighing 100 lbs. or more. + Comfortable working with basic plumbing, water lines, and valves. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Able to pass pre-employment screenings, including DOT physical exams. + Team player with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to work in dynamic environments.
