Eligibility/Intake Specialist

Description We are looking for an Eligibility/Intake Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This position plays a key role in ensuring families and applicants are supported as they navigate the eligibility process for the Summer Youth Employment Program. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, pay close attention to detail, and thrive in a dynamic, community-focused environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct intake appointments with applicants and families to assist them in completing required paperwork and gathering necessary documentation. u2022 Travel to various community locations to set up and manage intake events, ensuring smooth operations. u2022 Communicate eligibility status and program information clearly and professionally to applicants and their families. u2022 Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant files, including making corrections or updates after additional reviews. u2022 Guide applicants through the enrollment process, including work permits, health exams, and employment forms. u2022 Input participant data into database systems with precision and ensure all entries meet reporting requirements. u2022 Generate timely reports for program management and partners as requested. u2022 Collaborate with the team to adapt to changing program needs and support additional tasks as assigned. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or progress toward one preferred. u2022 Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, including evenings. u2022 Previous experience in customer service and data entry, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. u2022 Familiarity with working with diverse populations, particularly inner-city youth and adults starting their careers. u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. u2022 Reliable transportation to travel between intake locations. u2022 Must pass background checks as a condition of employment.
