Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds u2022 Knowledge of CT procedures u2022 Knowledge of CT scanners u2022 Ability to learn and grow with new technology u2022 Customer Service skills u2022 CT Safety including radiation protection u2022 General computer skills and PACS u2022 Basic IV competency u2022 General physics and anatomy u2022 Fluent in the English language u2022 Experience/knowledge of computers/networking u2022 Effective communication skills u2022 Cross-Sectional Anatomy u2022 Cardiac & Vascular skills u2022 3D workstation skills u2022 IV placement skills u2022 Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately u2022 Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray machines and printers u2022 Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry u2022 Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English u2022 Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office u2022 Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures u2022 Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff u2022 Demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively u2022 Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department u2022 Organizational skills u2022 Verbal Interpersonal skills u2022 Customer Relations skills u2022 Grammar/Spelling competence u2022 Ability to read/comprehend written instructions u2022 Follow verbal instructions u2022 Keyboarding (manual) u2022 Computer (visual) skills u2022 Ability to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail u2022 Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians u2022 As required, performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training.
