Job DutiesJob Duties: Sr. Software Systems Engineer for Medtronic, Inc., Minneapolis, MN. Build and groom product backlog-based use cases and systems specifications to translate marketing requirements, user needs, and high-level use cases/use conditions, define specific use stories and acceptance criteria for software engineers and testers. Responsible for writing software requirements for mobile/wearable medical device applications and their interfaces to connected devices and backend systems. Analyze user interface designs for mobile/ wearable medical device applications. Assist software detailed design/architecture documentation. Develop mobile apps in IOS and Android. Create traceability between Digital Input/Digital Output (DI/DO) with a clear requirements decomposition and tie-out between inputs and outputs. Work within the Product Development and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with cross-functional teams to create robust software requirements. Support bug prioritization, root cause, and resolution within mobile/ wearable software technologies View processes with marketing, systems engineering, human factors, UX, for continuous improvement and effectiveness, including marketing requirements, customer centered design, user interface designs, and software requirements. Promote good software design practices at every stage of development leveraging Waterfall and Agile Development methodologies. US FDA Quality System Requirements, ISO 13485, ISO14971, IEC 60601, and IEC 62304, 21CFR 820 (Code of Federal Regulations). Position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States. Minimum Education RequiredBacheloru2019s Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical or engineering field. Minimum Experience RequiredRequires five (5) yearsu2019 Post-bacheloru2019s progressive experience in Software development as a Software Systems Engineer, Technical Project Lead or related occupation. Must possess at least two (2) yearsu2019 experience in each of the following:1.tBuilding and grooming product backlog-based use cases and systems specifications.2.tWriting software requirements for mobile/wearable medical device applications.3.tAnalyze interface designs for mobile/ wearable medical device applications.4.tCreating traceability between DI/DO.5.tSupporting bug prioritization, root cause, and resolution within mobile/ wearable software ttechnologies.6.tProduct development and SDLC.7.tReview processes for continuous improvement and effectiveness, including marketing trequirements, customer centered design, user interface designs, and software requirements.8.tWaterfall and Agile Development methodologies.9.tISO 13485, ISO14971, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, and 21CFR 820.
