The Creole Queen cruises daily, which allows you to be home every nightJob Purpose:- To maintain, operate, and repair all vessel electrical and mechanical systemsQualification/Education/Skills:U.S. Coast Guard Licensed (2000 H.P.) with a minimum of 2 years Engineering experience- Preferred experience with Diesel Electric (SCR)- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Good understanding of all maritime rules and regulations- Must possess working knowledge of vessels, and be able to maintain equipment in all areas of vessels- Professional dress and demeanorEssential Functions:Overseeing and maintaining all vessel systems- Performing preventative maintenance program on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis- Keeping vessel maintenance records, inventories, accounting reports, and requisitions- Conducting periodic inspections to ensure the crew is observing all U.S. Coast Guard and safety regulations- Making safe and rational decisions concerning vessel operation and maintenance- Recognizing unsafe conditions on vesselWork Environment:- Interior and exterior of vessel, exposed to extreme weather- Transitioning from deck to deck via stairs- Cramped machinery spaces, including rotating equipment- - Physical Requirements:```{=html}```- Standing and sitting - up to 12 hours per day- Lifting to 100 lbs., bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing more than 5 times per hour/shift- Acute hearing and vision- Must be able to pass U.S. Coast Guard physical and drug screen (Pre-Employment and Random)New Orleans Paddlewheels, Inc. offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.
