General Summary: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for zone maintenance, preparation for delivery, vehicle receiving, inventory scanning and reconciliation, final quality of saleable inventory, cosmetic inspections, vehicle movement (both on and off lot) and providing customer service. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: u2022 Perform the imaging of inventory for u2022 Ensure daily maintenance and security of the display areas and work-in-progress (WIP) zones. u2022 Perform gas reclamation process on vehicles u2022 Preparation vehicles for delivery to customers. u2022 Assist with preparation of vehicles for staging. u2022 Receive vehicles from trucks/carriers. u2022 Transfer tags to and from vehicles on the CarMax inventory log. u2022 Perform other duties, as needed. o To include the duties and responsibilities of the Automotive Detailer (see job description in the CarMax Way for more information) Qualifications : u2022 Must have current valid driveru2019s license and meet the CarMax DSEPS standards u2022 Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records u2022 Intermediate PC skills u2022 Ability to multitask in a high energy, fast paced working environment u2022 High School diploma or equivalent work experience, preferred u2022 Some experience working in a retail or customer service environment, preferred Requirements: u2022 Complete CarMax provided training u2022 Incorporate feedback from satisfaction surveys and manager to constantly improve individual and team performance u2022 Successfully partner with other associates throughout CarMax u2022 Ability to work in both an office and outdoor environment; this may include working in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions at times u2022 Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time u2022 Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays u2022 Wear CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times u2022 Adhere to all CarMax policies including, but not limited to: Attendance, Proper Recording of Time, Asset Protection, EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety), and Integrity and Uniform policies.
