Description We have partnered closely with this well-respected Orange County defense firm for many years and have made multiple successful placements with the team. They are now seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of defense experience to join their growing practice. This role offers sophisticated casework, meaningful responsibility, and a manageable billable requirement, making it an excellent long-term opportunity. Responsibilities + Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution (Au2013Z) + Handle enterprise-level cases + Take and defend depositions + Draft and argue motions + Prepare matters for trial + Make court appearances as needed Qualifications + JD from an accredited law school + Active and in-good-standing California Bar license + 5+ years of civil litigation experience preferred (open to strong candidates with 3+ years) + Experience managing cases independently + Comfortable in a fast-paced defense practice + Smart, driven, and proactive with strong written and verbal communication skills Role Details + Billable requirement: 1,750 hours + Practice focus: Civil litigation (defense) + Education: Good academic background preferred, but flexible for the right experience + Environment: Collaborative, high-performing team with real responsibility and client exposure This role is ideal for an attorney seeking long-term growth, substantive work, and better work-life balance than traditional high-billable defense roles.
