Interns will gain exposure to the fundamental activities performed within this industry. Responsibilities u2022 Assist in project start-up, field engineering, scheduling, quantity take-offs, estimating, design, drafting and other tasks as needed. u2022 Apply knowledge, skills, and dispositions in a variety of settings including both office and field assignments. u2022 Follows company and work site safety policies/procedures and commits to an u201cIncident and Injury Freeu201d work environment Qualifications u2022 Successful candidates will have completed their sophomore year, preferably their junior year, in one of the following majors: Civil Engineering; Civil Engineering Technology; Construction Management; Electrical Engineering; Construction Technology; Mechanical Engineering; or Coastal Engineering with a GPA of 2.95 or higher. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office u2022 This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language #LI-LS3 Qualifications u2022 Successful candidates will have completed their sophomore year, preferably their junior year, in one of the following majors: Civil Engineering; Civil Engineering Technology; Construction Management; Electrical Engineering; Construction Technology; Mechanical Engineering; or Coastal Engineering with a GPA of 2.95 or higher. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office u2022 This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language Physical Requirements u2022 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, stoop and/or sit. u2022 Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for long periods of time u2022 Ability to navigate around the office to use equipment as needed u2022 Light lifting (Up to 20 lbs.) as needed Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. u2022 Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
