Job Description:As an Early Childhood Education Teacher Aide at The Lighthouse Early Care and Education, you will support lead teachers and assist in the education, care, and supervision of children in our early childhood education program. Your role will be integral in creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children to learn and grow. The position requires collaboration with other team members and a strong commitment to the developmental needs of children. Duties and Responsibilities:1. Support Lead Teachers: Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities that are age-appropriate and aligned with the center's educational philosophy.2. 3. Supervise Children: Monitor children's behavior and safety during class time, outdoor play, meals, and transitions between activities.4. 5. Assist with Classroom Activities: Set up, clean up, and prepare materials for activities; help children with tasks like arts and crafts, learning games, and projects.6. 7. Maintain a Positive Learning Environment: Encourage positive behaviors and interactions among children, and provide support to children with special needs as directed by the lead teacher.8. 9. Child Safety and Welfare: Ensure the safety of all children at all times, including monitoring the children during bathroom breaks and while transitioning between activities.10. 11. Communication: Maintain open communication with the lead teacher, parents, and staff. Report any concerns regarding a child's health, behavior, or welfare to the appropriate personnel.12. 13. Behavior Management: Assist in implementing classroom rules and assisting children in learning social and emotional regulation techniques.14. 15. Record Keeping: Assist with maintaining accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and any other required documentation.16. 17. Professional Development: Attend required training sessions and meetings to stay current with child care best practices and center policies.18. 19. Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks related to child care as assigned by the lead teacher or center director.20. Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent (required).- - Previous experience working with children, preferably in an early childhood education setting (preferred).- - Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.- - Ability to work as part of a team.- - CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain within a specified time frame).
