To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTube Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES , including but not limited to: + Use caution and support facility systems to assure safety event free facilities. + Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures. + Observe, respond and report any instance of product, service, or quality systems non-conformity. + Security diligence: maintain control of key cards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry equipment. + Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in associated training. AUTHORITIES , including but not limited to: + Pause activity and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices. + Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product, service or quality systems. + Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. + Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, facilities or systems and verify the implementation of solutions. PRIMARY DUTIES , including but not limited to: + Respond to non-established procedures if they should arise. + Provide input to Product Development regarding mold or tooling design and sign-off on final design. + Work with all plants on tooling issues. + Work with the plants on installation and start-up of all new molds or tooling. + Optimize the performance of all molds or tooling within area of discipline. + Work with plant operations to provide input on continuous improvement of the tooling department. + Track mold or tooling prices for all projects to assure we are getting the best value. + Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements. QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIRED: + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. + Minimum of 5 years field experience in Engineering. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10 u2013 12 point font at a distance of 12 u2013 18 inches. + Speak, write, and read effectively in English. + Computer literate. + Must be able to hear and recognize various sounds such as emergency machine shutdown alarms. PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: + Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. + Excellent problem solving skills. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal positively with others in a team environment.
