Position Information Consumer Cellular is seeking skilled Principal Data Engineers who thrive in a highly collaborative, agile team environment. You will need to reside within 50 miles of our Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ as this role has the option of hybrid or onsite. Responsibilities + Collaborate with fellow data engineering and cross-functional data teams to build and deliver custom enterprise data warehousing and database applications. + Accurately estimate tasks, bugs, and spikes in your domain. + Develop software that meets code quality standards and metrics. + Build productive internal/external working relationships. + Effectively manage risk, change, and uncertainty with support from your leader and peers. + Build a solid understanding of inter-team functional data dependencies and navigate appropriate communication channels for solving issues as they arise. + Design and implement new features while continuously improving quality of technical data products and database applications. + Act as a technical expert and engineer on an agile squad. + Create and execute long term vision of technical data products and database applications. + Drive the architectural solutions across data warehousing and database applications. + Develop and Lead communities of practice by mentoring engineers, creating, and enforcing standards, reviewing others code, and sharing knowledge and know-hows. + Remain current on new cloud data solutions, design patterns, products, and development trends. + Assist with problem resolution for customers and end users. + Other duties, as maybe assigned. Skills and Experience + Expert knowledge of data engineering, database solution design, solid principles of data modeling. + Experience 10 years in data engineering and database technologies + Expert in developing reusable common component data artifacts. + Expert with Data Engineering and Cloud products + Expert in various Data Engineering Methodologies + Expert in data security best practices + Expert in data accessibility best practices + Strong problem solving and collaboration skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Strong Team Player + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable. Technology Requirements + Required: + Expert in SQL and Enterprise Data Warehousing + Expert in Azure or similar cloud technologies + Proficient in building out ELT (Extract Load Transform) solutions + Proficient in SQL Server, Azure Synapse or similar. + Proficient in writing SQL Queries + Preferred: + Knowledge of one or more modern database design and Reporting Data frameworks such as ELT, ETL or similar. + Git HUB u2013 Enterprise or similar + Cloud Technologies u2013 Azure Resources for Data Engineering Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Pay & Benefits Data (in accordance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act) + Minimum Salary:$138,600 + Maximum Salary:$200,550 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
