Job Description

Headfirst Summer Camp Extended Day (PMX) Carpool Assistant is responsible for ensuring a smooth and safe transition of campers from their aftercare groups to the carpool area for dismissal. This role involves interacting directly with campers and families, providing excellent customer service while ensuring that each camper is matched with the correct authorized driver. This team member will assist in managing the afternoon carpool process, ensuring all campers are accounted for and safely escorted to their cars, creating a positive end-of-day experience for families.Camper ages: 3-12 years oldSchedule: In-season (mid June through mid August): 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday - FridayPre-season (May and early June): select weekends for training and site preparationCompensation: $11 - 17.95 / hourEfficient Carpool SupportAssist the Extended Day Coordinator with getting campers from their aftercare groups to the carpool area for dismissalWork with other staff members to ensure a safe, efficient, and timely afternoon carpool, ensuring campers are safely escorted to their carsWelcome families by name, creating a positive and personal experience with top-notch Headfirst-level energyHelp with operational clean-up once all campers have been picked up, ensuring the area is organized for the following dayRepresent Headfirst for Families & Facility PartnersRepresent the Headfirst brand daily to families and school facility partners throughout the summer by being enthusiastic, helpful, hands-on, and in uniformActively participate in our efforts to take care of our camp facility and communityBe an Active Member of the Camp TeamArrive on time, communicate schedule changes promptly, be a loyal and consistent team member who shows up for the campers and your teamBe flexible with your assignment and open to supporting other programs on siteHandle the CurveballsPractice resiliency and arrive with a “How Can I Help?” mentality that puts camper experience and team success at the forefront through problem solving and trying new thingsMust be at least 16 years old.Must be able to:Work around small children including, sitting, standing, running, and climbing stairs for the full day.Work in hot and outdoor environments while actively supervising campers and participating in dynamic activities for extended periods of time. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
