At UnityPoint Health, you matter. + Hospitalist schedule is self-scheduled with 12-hour shifts + 6 shifts per month + Shifts run from 7p to 7a + Response time within 30 minutes + Utilize Vidyo Telehealth Responsibilities + Working closely with Telehospitalists, daytime hospitalists, bedside nurses, and nursing supervisors during on call hours + Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered. + Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. + Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. + Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc. + Staffing with assigned attending physician overnight for complex cross coverage needs and deteriorating patients and any other needs.
