The Patient Service Representative in our Medical Oncology Practice is responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to: u2022 Warmly greets and registers arriving patients u2022 Answers incoming calls promptly and professionally, evaluates priority, and directs calls appropriately according to urgency and subject matter u2022 Schedules new patient appointments accurately, and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit u2022 Reviews daily report of appointment confirmations to ensure accurate schedule and appropriate communications with patients u2022 Collects co-payments and office charges as needed and explains office payment billing policies to patients Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: u2022 Experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred. u2022 Epic experience preferred. u2022 Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements u2022 Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. u2022 Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
