As a Sr. Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical support and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service. Shift: Shift 4, Friday to Sunday, 5pm - 5:30am KEY RESPONSIBILITIES u2022 Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for customers. u2022 Provide expert-level technical support for our Industrial Automation (IA) solutions. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of solutions. u2022 Lead training sessions for customers and field service technicians. u2022 Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, offering suggestions for improvements. u2022 Have hands-on experience with PLC systems, sensors, motors, inverters, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes. u2022 Conduct both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks. u2022 Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to report work orders and provide breakdown data. u2022 Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as conveyor systems, sortation systems, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). u2022 Adjust and maintain scanners, cameras, field buses, and printer applicators. u2022 Reset, repair, or replace adjustable parts (belts, chains, cables) and wear components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys). u2022 Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment as required. u2022 Follow job plans, procedures, and manuals for efficient service. u2022 Maintain and troubleshoot a range of components, including motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, and encoders. u2022 Assist with basic troubleshooting of electronics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). u2022 Perform maintenance and troubleshoot all types of industrial robots. u2022 Utilize mobile devices and asset management systems to create and close work orders, logging relevant data (labor hours, downtime, causes, solutions, and parts used). u2022 Follow safety protocols (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure a safe working environment. u2022 Adhere to company standards, operating procedures, and safety regulations. YOU MUST HAVE u2022 At least 2 years of relevant experience or education in Material Handling Equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance/installation. u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent. u2022 Strong technical expertise in Industrial Automation technologies. u2022 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. u2022 Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. u2022 Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills. u2022 Experience in conveyor system maintenance.
