The Role: Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment thatu2019s more startup than big company. Weu2019ll tackle problems that span a variety of domains: computer vision, image recognition, machine learning, real-time and distributed systems. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity thatu2019s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that, frankly, havenu2019t been solved at scale before - anywhere. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, youu2019ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. Key job responsibilities - Work with engineering, research, product and ops to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications. - Define technical roadmap for engineering teams by working with Software development managers. - Support launch of our Just Walk Out technology on new product selection, stores and formats. - Provide regular updates to leadership on program status and risks. - Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability. - Drive engineering project execution, make technical trade-offs, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues. - Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning research algorithms and dozens of services. - Assist with recruiting, hiring process, and growing the team. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
