Summary: This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing disaster recovery strategies and plans that ensure continuous availability of critical technology infrastructure and applications for RUSH. This role involves working with the Manager, Cybersecurity Disaster Recovery on coordinating the efforts of various teams and departments like application, change management, infrastructure management, risk, business continuity etc. for disaster recovery exercises and related documentation (BIAu2019s, Test Plans, Post-Test Reports). Other information: Required Job Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a masteru2019s degree is a plus. u2022 At least 5 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, or a related field in the healthcare sector. u2022 Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems and disaster recovery practices. u2022 Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). u2022 Experience with disaster recovery solutions and data backup technologies. u2022 Knowledgeable in the following technologies: virtual servers, database replication, networks, cloud technologies, Citrix, SaaS u2022 Proven ability to develop, document, and test disaster recovery strategies. u2022 Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. u2022 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. u2022 Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Good to have: u2022 Workable understanding of enterprise business continuity and ability to liaise with teams managing Business Continuity in RUSH. Preferred Job Qualifications: u2022 Security certification (CISSP, CISA, CBCP, AHPCP, CHPCP). Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and strategies in alignment with regulatory, industry and best-practice standards. u2022 Guide IT teams (e.g., Network, Applications, Database, Infrastructure and Server etc.) and business application teams on Disaster Recovery planning procedures to ensure requirements are considered, mitigated, and validated through testing. u2022 Conduct regular disaster recovery risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify existing/potential gaps and propose mitigation strategies. Responsible for assisting (IT Application Owner) and/or maintaining IT system dependency mapping. u2022 Coordinate with IT departments to ensure backup systems, data replication, and failover processes are robust and efficient. u2022 Lead disaster recovery drills and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery plans and procedures. Identify risks and recommend improvements based on post-exercise report results. u2022 Collaborate with business continuity, emergency management, crisis management and other cross-functional stakeholders at RUSH to ensure minimal disruption to critical services during and after a disaster. u2022 Maintain up-to-date documentation of disaster recovery procedures, strategies, and relevant disaster recovery training. u2022 Provide training and guidance to staff on disaster recovery best practices. u2022 Stay informed on the latest trends, industry best practices, emerging technologies and evolving threats in disaster recovery and healthcare IT security.
