Carnegie Mellon Universityu2019s department of Athletics is searching for an Assistant Menu2019s Soccer Coach. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program. This is a full-time, 10-month, recurring, benefit eligible position from mid-August to mid-June. Core responsibilities include: + Recruitment of potential student-athletes + Demonstrate competency in technique instruction, motivation, and ability to conduct team and individual practice sessions under the direction of the head coach + Game preparation and implementation, video analysis, and opponent scouting + Planning team travel and event management + Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student-athletes + Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport program goals set by the head coach + Leadership ability and professional behavior when working with student-athletes + Transporting team in vans or cars to meets and off campus practice locations + Ability to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends + Teaching in the physical education program, as requested + Covering shifts at recreation desks, as needed + Knowledge of NCAA Division III, UAA Conference rules and policies + Other duties as assigned For consideration, all applications must include a resume, cover letter, and references.
