FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00Shift: Shift 2 Shift Details: M-F 3:00p - 11:30p with rotating weekendsand holidays Job Summary: An Environmental Services Housekeeper plays avital role to ensure every patient, family member and staff person has aclean, safe and sanitized environment for healing and exceptionalpatient care. A Housekeeper plans out their day with supplies, managestime, prioritizes high need tasks, adjusts and adapts work tempodepending on the needs of the hospital. Performs in-patient roomdischarge cleaning to ensure a clean and aseptic environment that meetsapproved cleaning standards.Performs daily cleaning and sanitation ofpatient rooms, office spaces, public spaces, clinical spaces, etc.Performs cleaning in a manner that meets or exceeds hospital cleaningstandards as outlined in the department policies. Collaborates andbuilds relationships with coworkers, leaders, staff, patients andfamilies in a professional manner. Communicates needs for assigned areasto clinical/support staff, leaders and other housekeepers as needed.Requires continuous physical activity throughout t he shift. Otherduties as assigned depending on hospital and patient needs. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: A minimum of one year of experience in a position requiringcustomer services skills is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High Schooldiploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude.Works well in a team environment. Ability to communicate with others ina professional manner. Meets expectations of cleaning needs in an activework environment. Ability to adapt to changing daily needs based onhospital needs. Demonstrates initiative in critical thinking and problemsolving. Ability to use a computer or other technology to performessential functions of the position (including pager, email, internet,etc.).
