Job Description: We are seekinga highly collaborative Software Engineering Manager to guide a team ofengineers that are focused on our best-in-class Property & CasualtyInsurance and Restoration Platform. This person should have a naturalability to creatively solve customer pain points by building innovativesolutions. Job Responsibilities: Be the technology leader for adevelopment team responsible for delivering SaaS products Collaboratewith Management, Technology, Product, UX, and other internal teams toprovide a stable, innovative, and valuable product, including remote anddistributed teams Own the product development lifecycle includingdevelopment, automation, QA, CI, DevOps and production operations. Manage, coach and hire a highly talented engineering team, includingsetting goals for direct reports that are aligned to company goals Beresponsible and accountable for the product vision and product roadmapassigned to your team Plan, design, and lead the team to delivercomplex, broad-scale systems. Develop and report performance metricsfor your team and coach them for success. Define, implement andimprove quality engineering practices Collaborate with other teams toexecute your roadmap and achieve great results Always think long termand balance long term interests with short term success. Keep an eyeon industry standards and best practices. Never stop learning andalways question the status quo. Job Qualifications: A background incomputer science fundamentals: a bachelor's degree or higher inComputer Science or Engineering or have equivalent professionalexperience. Extensive and progressive experience building anddelivering scalable and resilient software products. Several years ofmanaging teams building scalable production software and managingsoftware development teams Demonstrated experience and mastery ofrelevant software design patterns, frameworks, and styles. Experiencewith RESTful / GraphQL Web Service Design and Implementation; EventDriven Systems; Asynchronous Messaging (Enterprise Service Bus) andService Oriented Architectures The ideal candidate will be able tooperate in a fast-paced environment, directing their team to build codethat is simple, understandable, clean, and solid. They will be ableto foster and maintain strong relationships with their team and seefeedback or failure as motivation to continue learning and growing.Data-driven decision making is the norm for this person.
