Principal Software Engineer

Overview Intuit is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Engineer to join AI/ML Platform team. Our charter is to build the platform that enables Classic AI and Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions at scale. This engineer will be part of a vibrant team of Engineers and will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end systems that solve challenging problems to scale AI adoption at Intuit. Responsibilities - Accelerate the pace of innovation by building quick prototypes for experimentation and scaling successful prototypes into deployed production systems. - Create a multi-year tech roadmap that enables our team to stay on the leading edge of the rapidly evolving MLOps landscape and leverage the best in class technologies to deliver customer benefits. - Drive key architectural decisions and contribute to Intuitu2019s AI/ML platform architecture and strategy. - Champion technical excellence and operational rigor. - Mentor junior team mates helping them to grow their skills and expertise. Qualifications + Tech/M. Tech in computer science or equivalent work experience. + 10+ yearsu2019 experience architecting and designing systems with expertise in developer tools. + Experience with MLOps on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. + Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala and familiarity with ML modeling frameworks. + Basic knowledge of AI and Machine Learning. + Worked on highly complex technical challenges delivering durable platform capabilities leveraged across the organization + Experience driving for results across cross-functional teams while maintaining effective working relationships + Self Starter and have a Bias for Action + High Rigor on Engineering & Operational excellence + Experience with leveraging, contributing to and leading open source community projects. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience + Collaborate effectively with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Platform Engineers to build solutions that delight our customers. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California $ 254,500 - 344,000EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.
