Tax Preparer - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Tax Preparer to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will assist senior tax professionals with preparing individual tax returns using Lacerte Tax Software while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist in preparing individual tax returns under the supervision of senior tax professionals. u2022 Enter and verify tax-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance with current regulations. u2022 Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to complete tax preparation tasks efficiently. u2022 Perform administrative duties to support the tax preparation process. u2022 Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality tax services. u2022 Maintain organized records and documentation for tax filings. u2022 Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. u2022 Respond to inquiries and provide support during the tax filing process. u2022 Identify potential discrepancies and resolve issues in tax documentation. Requirements u2022 At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns. u2022 Familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software is strongly preferred. u2022 Strong organizational and data entry skills. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team environment. u2022 Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. u2022 Knowledge of tax laws and regulations. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
