Signal Processing Engineer

Description The qualified Engineer / Scientist will be part of a strong team of scientists and engineers in our San Diego office committed to addressing some of our nationu2019s most challenging defense problems. The role requires the use of physical and mathematical principles for the development of algorithms to extract information from radar, infrared, and visible band sensor data using conventional signal processing techniques such as filtering, data conditioning, and Fourier analysis, as well as modern AI and machine learning-based methods. Primary Responsibilities u2022Develop innovative signal processing algorithms and data analysis techniques. u2022Analyze ocean data from multiwavelength sensors. u2022Perform signal detection and characterization. u2022Create efficient implementations of solutions in software. u2022Document results for customers and present results at meetings. u2022Work collegially within a talented team of peers. Basic Qualifications u2022Education in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field u2022Experience in signal processing algorithm development, remote sensing analysis, and signal detection and characterization. u2022Strong knowledge and experience in the areas of detection and estimation theory, Fourier analysis, linear algebra and matrix computations, mathematical analysis, and algorithm and software design. u2022Fluency in MATLAB or similar data analysis package. u2022Proven track record of innovation, problem solving, and achieving successful technical results. u2022Be self-motivated and a team player, ready for a fast-paced environment and high expectations. u2022Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a US Government Top Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications u2022Experience in hydrodynamics and physical oceanography. u2022Additional software experience such as C, C++, shell scripting, Perl, Java, Python, MPI, Cuda. u2022Experience with public speaking, client interaction, customer presentations, research documentation, task planning and scheduling. u2022 Current US Government Top Secret security clearance SUBSEAMSS If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
