The summer internship program within Research and Development at BD provides the student with an opportunity to partner with peers, senior personnel, and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to our process of designing and developing medical device products for different global markets. Selected students may work within cross-functional or interdisciplinary teams and may have multiple internal partners and customers. Each intern will have an individual project and the opportunity to develop technical engineering expertise. Through our summer internship, students develop an extensive professional network, learn how to work in an engineering environment, build hands-on laboratory skills, and deliver business presentations showcasing their work. The summer internship program is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the medical device industry and BDu2019s culture.
