Electrical Engineer 6

Amentum is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial facility and plant design. The position is located in the Englewood, CO office. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for a variety of engineering and design tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project. Key Responsibilities u2022 Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently. u2022 Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews independently or as the team leader. u2022 May lead engineering teams and act as a mentor to engineering team members. u2022 May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments. u2022 Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. u2022 Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. u2022 Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. u2022 Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. u2022 Prepare engineering studies. u2022 Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work. u2022 May provide technical management and leadership to a group of employees for a given project, contract or job with overall responsibility for cost, schedule technical and employee performance Minimum Requirements: u2022 Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university. u2022 12+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree u2022 Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies. u2022 Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software. u2022 Experience with electrical one line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams. u2022 Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment. u2022 Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems. u2022 Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation. u2022 Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills. u2022 Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen and US Dual Citizenship may be considered. u2022 Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. u2022 Position may require travel. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Professional Engineer License in Electrical Engineering u2022 DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience u2022 Advanced level of experience in communications and security systems u2022 Experience in 3D design using BIM, Revit, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD MEP Compensation & Benefits HIRING SALARY RANGE: $135K - $175K Annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
