For Job Seekers:If you are interested in this position, meet the experience requirements, and are willing to commit to the entire contract period, please visit your local workforce center for full details and application instructions.u00a0Position: Tree Farm LaborersRequirements: NoneJob Description: Spring Harvest:u00a0Spring harvest begins in March and requires pruning, ball and burlap and digging nursery grown trees.u00a0Trees are then staged, moved, loaded or planted and some are connected to irrigation.u00a0After digging trees irrigation is activated and maintained for efficiency and proper coverage.u00a0Trees are mulched, tree rows are backfilled and soil preparation commences for new trees.u00a0New trees arrive in April and May and are planted throughout June.u00a0Maintenance, weed removal and irrigation continues. Summer Season:u00a0Summer continues with many plantings, tree row and irrigation maintenance, mowing and weed removal and management.u00a0Mulching, staking and care of trees as needed.u00a0Soil tilling, grading work continues for old rows and prep for new rows. Late Summer and Fall Season:u00a0Late season continues general maintenance with irrigation, mulching and weed management. Trees that will be dug are prepared for fall harvest in September and are dug in October and early November.u00a0Trees are balled and burlapped, moved, loaded and/or planted.u00a0Fall pruning begins and lasts until spring. Tools used throughout the year include shovels, picks, pruners, saws, rakes, mowers, weed whackers.Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: 48 hrs per week.Schedule: Monday to Saturday 8 hrs per week.Anticipated Period of Employment: 04/01/2026 to 11/01/2026.Application Deadline: 07/17/2026Job Location: Fort Collins, CO.Pay: $19.00Effective 1/1/25: Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22
