Senior Network Engineer - Littleton, Coloradou00a0The Select Group is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Littleton, Colorado. As a senior technical member of the team, you'll serve as a subject matter expert for BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, and dark-fiber transport across our multi--100G backbone network. You'll be responsible for high-level design decisions, mentoring other engineers, and driving automation and standardization initiatives that improve network reliability, scalability, and performance.Must Have Skills:u00a0- 5--8 years of progressive experience in network engineering, architecture, or service provider environments- Deep expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, ISIS)- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco carrier-grade platforms- Proven experience with network automation and orchestration tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Netconf/YANG)- Thorough understanding of transport and optical technologies (DWDM, dark fiber, 100G+ Ethernet)- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from design through deployment, with minimal supervision- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including presenting technical concepts to leadershipu00a0Nice to Have Skills:Experience designing or operating large-scale 5G, LTE, or wireless transport networksu00a0Education/Certification Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experienceu00a0Day to day responsibilities:- Lead the design and deployment of high-performance routing and transport infrastructure supporting a' nationwide 5G network- Develop and enforce network standards, policies, and automation frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability- Serve as an escalation point for complex BGP/MPLS/Segment Routing/EVPN troubleshooting and performance optimization- Partner with architecture and planning teams to evaluate and integrate new technologies into production- Oversee the activation, migration, and optimization of network devices across multiple regions and vendors- Drive automation and telemetry initiatives, including tool development and integration with network management systems- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level network engineers and cross-functional partners- Collaborate with vendors to influence product roadmaps, resolve escalations, and validate new features through lab testing- Contribute to capacity planning, performance analysis, and future growth strategies for the 5G transport networkTSG is an equal opportunity employer.
