Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Flexi Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy Location: Harrisonburg, Va - RMH Medical CenterStatus: Flexi / PRN (1- 8 hours shift per week with opportunities to pick up additional hours)Hours: 8:30am-7pm M-F // 11am-5pm WeekendsThe Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitionerEnsures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as neededUses appropriate systems for processing patient informationEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyIn addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practiceEducationHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCertification/LicensureVirginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)ExperiencePrevious Pharmacy Tech Experience (Required) Pharmacy Tech, PTCB, NHA, Medication, Pharmacy, Inpatient, Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician, Compounding, Pharmacy Tech, Epic, Hospital, Retail Pharmacy, Meds to Beds, Outpatient
