Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping financial strategies by analyzing data, preparing reports, and supporting decision-making processes. You will work closely with various departments to deliver actionable insights that improve efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities: u2022 Contribute to the development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. u2022 Maintain and update forecasting models to reflect actual results and revised assumptions. u2022 Create and refine financial models to assess pricing changes, bids, and new business opportunities, incorporating scenario and sensitivity analyses. u2022 Monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining significant variances. u2022 Generate comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and schedules for management review. u2022 Conduct variance and trend analyses on revenue, expenses, and operational metrics to identify key drivers and trends. u2022 Analyze financial outcomes by customer, department, and business unit to support strategic business reviews. u2022 Ensure data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with accounting and operations teams to address issues. u2022 Perform customer and contract-level financial analyses, including revenue and margin tracking. u2022 Translate transportation KPIs into financial insights, such as cost per mile and utilization, to enhance efficiency and profitability. Requirements u2022 Strong experience in financial analysis and modeling. u2022 Proficiency in conducting ad hoc financial analyses and variance evaluations. u2022 Knowledge of data mining techniques and ability to derive actionable insights. u2022 Familiarity with creating and maintaining financial reports and dashboards. u2022 Ability to perform detailed customer and contract-level financial assessments. u2022 Skilled in investigating data inconsistencies and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Solid understanding of transportation KPIs and their financial implications. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
