Surgical Technologist

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is searching for a qualified Surgical Technologist to perform a wide variety of duties, assisting the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient. Maintains a safe and sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel. There is an on-call component to this position. Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.This is aFull-Time position (PT available).Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.Compensation:Negotiable.An offer of employment may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skill, internal equity, and market data.Participates in “Time Out” before start of procedure.Passes instruments, suture, sponges, etc.Picks/prepares supplies for planned cases.Prepares sterile field/supplies/instruments.Participate in activities to keep abreast of technical and legal developments.Sets up instruments/equipment in a standardized format.Uses restraints and padding correctly.Anticipates needs of surgeon.Applies retraction, cuts sutures, etc. as requested.Clears sterile field in aseptic, safe manner. Ensures non-disposable instruments and supplies are not discarded.Completes accurate sponge/needle/instrument counts.HS diploma.Successful completion of Surgical Technologist Program.
