The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting or finance, experience withDeltekCostpoint, and a proventrack recordin government contracting, offering an exciting opportunity toleverageyourexpertisein a challenging and rewarding environment.The Project Control Analyst (Career Level4)is a key member of the contractsteam, reporting to the Director of Contracts. This role supports a subsidiary of alargecontractor support services company, working closely withGovernment customers, Prime contractors,ContractsManager(s)(CM), ProgramManagers (PM), Sector leadsand other relevant Operations personnelto ensure effective contractfinancial managementand performance of projects.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and TrackingInitiate, monitor, and maintain proper project financial setup in Deltek CostpointPrepare Estimates and Requests for Quotes (RFQ)Monitor project actualsversus projectionsandcollaborate toresolve issuesTrack outstanding project commitments (e.g., travel, subcontracts)Assist with Estimate at Completion (EAC) calculations and conduct variance analysisAssistwith forecasting and projectionsMonitor project burn rates against remaining funding, to include project hoursInitiate and route at-risk forms for projects as requiredAssist with funding de-obligations and contract closeouts.Reporting and AnalysisAnalyze project reports toidentifyand resolve issuesPerform monthly/quarterly unbilled analysisReviewrevenue, project costs, and profitability; analyze trends andidentifyopportunities to enhance profit marginsCommunicate project status and findings to relevant stakeholdersConsistently meet all required month-end close deadlinesTime and Expense ManagementProactivelymonitorproject timecards, ensuringtimelyidentification and correction of errorsVerify accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensuretimelyprocessingCollaborate with theBilling Specialist,Controller, andDirector of Accounting to ensure proper coding andtimelyprocessing of subcontract/vendor paymentsBilling and Invoice ManagementWork with theBilling Specialist and members of the Accounting teamto provide customer-specific invoice backupReview and approve draft invoices prior to customer submissionMonitor billing and payment status of customer invoicesPerform monthly accrual calculationsContract and Funding ManagementWork with Contract Managers to monitor funding levels and calculate burn ratesAssist in preparing requests for contract modifications as neededAlert Contract Managers to funding needsReview and analyze contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project compliance with financial and reporting requirementsProject SupportAssistContracts Managerand Operations teamwith work authorizations, risk identification and analysis, and execution of internal and external project reviewsSupport schedule updates, analysis, and reportingMonitor actual workshare with subcontractors against teaming agreements and notify ContractsManager and Program Manager when there is a deviationMonitors contract ceiling utilization; periodically updating ContractsManager and Program Manager throughout the contract lifecycleReviews annual escalation recommendations from Sectors and confirms viability of those recommendationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting,Finance, orotherBusinessor Mathematics-relatedfield.Anadditional4years’ experienceis acceptablein lieu of a degree5+ years ofdirectly relatedwork experience inaccounting, financialanalysis, and reporting5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skillsProficiencyinDeltekCostpoint project setup,reporting, and billingExperience inGovernment contracting or defense industryExperience withMicrosoftSharePointAbility to handle a high volume of projects with varying contract types and complexitiesStrong attention-to-detail and ability to consistently meet deadlinesExcellent communication and organizational skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively with accounting, contracts, andOperationsteam(s)Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS)Salary range: $96,000 - $117,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)About being a part of Team AVIANAs an employee-owner, you’ll be a catalyst for progress — helping us find new opportunities with current or new customers, company efficiencies, streamline processes, and bring people and ideas together in smarter ways.
