Your responsibilities include:Providingdedicated,on-sitesupportforCybersecurityengineering.Conductingnetworkaudits,assessresults,andproviderecommendedcorrectiveactions.Continuouslymonitoringoperationsfortrendsandanomaliesandperformanceindicators.Examinenetworktopologiestounderstandandsecuredataflowsacrossmultipleplatforms and environments.Identifyindustry-best-fitapplicationsandnetworkdevicesupporttoeffectivelysecure transport acrossthe network(s)Performingriskandvulnerabilityassessmentsforengineerednetworksandsystems.Ensuring engineering tasks and cybersecurity solutionscomply withaccreditation, certification, and connection standards.ConductsRiskDecisionAuthorityCriteria(RDAC)analysistodeterminetherequiredsecurity controls, test plans, and security assessments to mitigate risk IAW NCDSMO approval criteria.EngineeringandanalyzingsolutionsforvulnerabilityandriskassessmenttoensuresolutionsarefollowingnationalandDoDsecuritystandardsandmeasures.Coordinatingwithsubordinate,adjacent,supporting,andseniororganizations,andagenciesto support the resolution of security issues, accreditation and connection approvals, and engineering requests.ProvidingAssessmentandAuthorization(A&A)support;engineersolutionstoensuretheyinclude sound network security and design; and provide project management supportservices.Reviewing,analyzing,and documenting thesecurityrequirementsofapplications,systems,andnetworksacrosstheirlifecycles.ReviewingSecurityTest andEvaluationplans;developingorrefiningthemasnecessary.Advisingonnetworkandsystemrisks, riskmitigation,COAs,andoperationalrecommendations.Recommending technology upgrades and modifications based on evolving technologies, bestpractices, and strategic initiatives.EvaluatingCNDtools,conductfunctionalityanalyses,andassistinthecreationofCONOPsand policies for theappropriate useof defensive tools.Evaluating, assessing, and ensuring the compliance of ports and protocolsutilizedby ITinfrastructures, systems, platforms, products, applications, and network security devices (e.g.routerACL’s,firewallconfiguration,portsandprotocolnodes,networkcabling,etc.).ResearchingandrecommendingsystemsecurityguidancebaseduponDoD,DIA,USCYBERCOM,JointForceHeadquarters-DepartmentofDefenseInformationNetworks(JFHQ-DODIN), and other-directed guidance.Required qualifications:Previousexperience as aCybersecurityEngineer or similar rolesupporting a DoD customer at the CCMDlevelMinimum of 12years’ experiencewith BS/BA OR 16 years without a degree OR 14 years with AS/AAor10years’ experiencewith MS/MA, or7 years’ experiencewithaPh.D.A current, active DoD security clearanceat the TS/SCI levelUS citizenship isrequiredDOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 462 Control Systems Security Specialist, Advanced Level / ability to obtainDesiredQualifications:DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.Work Environment:Location: PopeArmy Airfield, NCOn-site expectations: Full-time on-site presencerequiredfor equipment management and asset trackingTravel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites forlogisticscoordination and facility assessmentsWhy Join Us? Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
