They’re responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all areas meet established cleanliness and sanitation standards.This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matchingThis position will remain open until April 24, 2026.Western Kentucky’s award-winning venue - the Owensboro Convention Center - is a full-service facility overlooking the scenic Ohio River in revitalized downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. The multi-purpose center boasts just under 102,000 sq. ft. of available space, including a 44,000+ sq. ft. exhibition hall, the 8,900+ sq. ft. Kentucky Legend Pier outside over the scenic Ohio River, and additional ballroom, meeting, and pre-function space.The Sportscenter, one of Owensboro’s most historic buildings, opened in 1949. It is a multi-purpose, 5,000-seat arena that hosts concerts, sporting events, graduations, trade shows, meetings, and receptions.Arrivefor each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to workPerform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitationClean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces regularlyEmpty trash and recycling containers and replace linersRefill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as neededMaintain floors through stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning as neededMonitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisorFollow all safety procedures and use protective equipmentasrequiredAssistwith outdoor sweeping or seasonal upkeep when applicableWorks safely,quicklyand efficiently to meet all deadlinesMaintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly mannerAll other tasks assigned by managementMust be at least 18 years of age for all positions.Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidaysHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrior custodial or janitorial experience is a plus, but notrequiredFollow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written formWork independently,exercisegood judgment and initiativePhysical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting and walking.Physical demands of prolonged repetitive motions normally associated with mopping, sweeping, buffing, dusting, and climbingAbility to work inside or outside environmentsRemain flexible and adjust to situations as they occurAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
