Institutional Investment Research Associate

WHO are we looking for?CAPTRUST is seeking an Institutional Investment Research Associate to work within our Defined Contribution team and who will help source, underwrite, and maintain a list of approved multi-asset investment strategies. This position will assist with disseminating information on the industry and individual strategies to our internal partners including financial advisors, client service professionals, the Investment Group, Investment Committee, and occasionally directly with firm clients through written and verbal communication. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in our Raleigh, North Carolina, office location.Assist in the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of investment managers within the multi-asset universePrepare detailed research reports, meeting notes, and recommendation memos for internal committees and clientsParticipate in calls and meetings with fund managers to understand their investment philosophy, process, and team dynamicsStay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging investment strategiesCompile quarterly updates from each investment firm and maintain an internal databaseIdentify and focus on opportunities to enhance or improve the efficiency of team deliverables/operationsAssist with due diligence and coverage for defined contribution-related investments/programsAssist with asset class, industry, and economic research related to defined contributionMay perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Completion of a four-year college degree - Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferredDesired Qualifications/Skills:Strong communication skills, both written and verbalCollaborative and team-orientedStrong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing assignmentsSignificant experience with Microsoft products, especially Excel/PowerPointWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
