Nanny | Family AssistantLocation: Cow Hollow, San Francisco Schedule:Current: Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (40 hrs/week)Starting ~April 2026: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (50 hrs/week)Employment: W-2 EmploymentRole Overview:We are a family in Cow Hollow looking for a warm, intelligent, and proactive Nanny/Family Assistant to become a long-term partner in raising our son. We are looking for a native or completely fluent English speaker. This position offers a unique balance: You will be a hands-on nanny first and foremost, but you will also act as a 'Family Manager' to help our household run smoothly when time allows.Travel & Flexibility:Travel: We travel domestically and internationally (including annual trips to China and the Caribbean). We require a candidate who is 'Travel Ready' (Valid Passport) and willing to join us for approx. 4-6 weeks per year. Travel days are paid via a flat Day Rate.Holidays: We require travel support for specific holidays, specifically Thanksgiving and the 4th of July.Flexibility: We occasionally require evening coverage (Date Nights) or overnight coverage when parents travel solo.How the Role Evolves:The Start: Initially, you will work alongside our current live-in nanny. During this time, you’ll get to know our son, focus on English language engagement, and use the extra time to help us organize the home.The Transition (~April 2026): Once our live-in nanny transitions out, you will step into the primary nanny role, focusing on his daily care and development.The Future (Sept 2026 onward): When our son starts preschool, the role becomes a true hybrid. You will handle household management while he is at school, and be fully present with him when he is home.Primary Responsibility: Childcare & DevelopmentMeal Preparation: You will be responsible for preparing all meals and snacks for our son (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). We value fresh, healthy, and nutritious food.Engagement: We love to see him active! We encourage utilizing the neighborhood—taking him to Moscone Park, the library, or the Presidio for play and socialization.Language Immersion: As a fluent English speaker, we look to you to help build his vocabulary through reading, singing, and narrating your daily activities together.The 'Child Ecosystem': Helping us keep his world tidy (cleaning up after meals, sterilizing bottles, and managing his laundry/nursery).Secondary Responsibility: Household SupportHousehold Projects: We value a 'can-do' attitude for the odd jobs that pop up in a busy home—whether it's assembling a new piece of furniture, organizing a chaotic drawer, breaking down boxes, or troubleshooting a simple household fix.Family Admin: Assisting with the family calendar, tracking RSVPs, or helping plan family travel.Vendor Liaison: Being the point-person for plumbers, contractors, or deliveries so we don't have to step away from work.Procurement: Keeping the house stocked (groceries, Amazon returns, pantry inventory).Qualifications:Experience & Background: We prioritize capability, intelligence, and emotional maturity over specific tenure. We are open to seasoned nannies or professionals from related fields (Education, Child Development) who take their work seriously.Communication: Excellent English communication skills are essential for this role.Driver: Valid Driver’s License required.Note: A family car is provided for all work-related driving and errands. However, if you choose to commute by car, we will facilitate an SFMTA Caregiver Parking Permit to allow for all-day street parking.Compensation and Benefits$45 per hourPaid HolidaysPaid Sick Days10 Days PTODiscretionary Bonus
