When your actions lead to success:Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management systemReport any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action. Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the orderSets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedureOperates machine to standard production target and waste targetTrouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standardAssists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenanceResponsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Food Safety & Quality System.Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team memberEnsures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standardsEnsures all food safety and environmental standards and requirements are metMakes adjustments to nip rollers and/or air blowers and/or air suction devices to appropriate positions and force in order to facilitate pickup and delivery of material through machine. Sets indexing control to appropriate position corresponding to tracking production through the machine center and/or sets automatic counter at discharge end of machine. Store settings in machine’s CPU and other appropriate data storage locations.Adjust speed of machine and conveyor belts. Set, adjust and monitor sealing temperatures. Complete all required tracking forms (AX, Job Plan, Shift Run Report, Quality Sheet and other checklists)Replenishes material and supplies in order to maintain production efficiencies. Verifies accuracy of machine setup, following guidelines or samples, and observes operation of machine throughout production run and adjusts to improve efficiencies.Removes collated products from machine or conveyor belt and stacks products on skid or pallet.Records time spent on specific tasks and productivity on daily production sheets and/or electronically. Performs routine maintenance to ensure machine is in good working order.Performs routine quality checks to ensure accuracy of product and records tracks and analyzes quality data.When your expertise drives us:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Machine Operating ExperienceWork Attendance and Productivity records:No Major Safety counselling within the past 36 monthsNo attendance counselling within the past 36 months.Must be within top 50% of productivity measurements on respective machineAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of English / American currency and measurement of weight, volume, and distance.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
