We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales representative to join our business. This job entails selling and/or introducing the company to both new and established customers. Quoting customers and taking orders from customers. Duties involve entering, tracking and following up on orders. During the order execution process outside salespeople coordinate between management, operations and the inside salespeople to meet or exceed customer expectations. Most important is building relationships with current and prospective customers. This role offers a competitive base salary range of $80,000-$100,000, plus a performance-based incentive plan.Attending sales group meetingsPeriodic travel expected - typically 5 days per monthCapturing of accurate and complete information in customer relationship managementQuoting and handling order execution from acceptance to completionConduct thorough customer vetting, including assessing creditworthiness and ensuring all transactions meet legal export compliance requirementsCoordinating between customer and traffic dispatcher to insure on-time delivery of materialCommunicating with customers in regards to current relative market information and capturing relative feedbackObtain and provide feedback on Competitor pricing/equipment to ManagementEstablish creditable relationships with new customers and maintain ongoing relationships with existing customer baseManage a database of potential customers and contact them on a regular base for new opportunitiesTeam with Outside Sales Rep to build a pipeline of opportunities and close sales Make Outbound Sales calls to prospect new customers provided by OSR/Mgt.Note suggestions or complaints and communicate to the Quality/Operations groupUtilize CRM Software to keep track of important customer ‘touches’Support the Quality System of the CompanyEducation & Experience:Previous interaction and experience working with customers, preferably within the steel industryMinimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the Metals industry, manufacturing, or other wholesale commodities.Bilingual in English and Spanish required; additional languages are a plusMust have a valid passportProficient level of computer skills in typing, number key, Word, Excel and Outlook.Able to work in a team environment.Exceptional communication skills.Problem solving and creative thinking.
