Audio Visual Installation Technician

Performs the hardware and physical labor installations that form the foundation of complex, high-quality, integrated systems. System installation tasks include, but are not limited to: pulling cable, terminating connectors, wiring and setting up equipment racks, installing equipment mounts, and performing basic metal fabrication.Effectively uses hand and power tools, as well as soldering irons, crimpers, multimeters, and signal generators and testers for day-to-day installation and service tasks. Interprets electronic schematics, architectural blueprints, and other diagrams.Maintains regular and effective communication with the AV Systems Installation Manager and other team members.Drives a university vehicle to transport equipment and staff to installation sites on-campus and off-campus.Other related functions as assigned.
