Eatonu2019s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join our team of world-class customer service professionals. This position is based in the greater Houston, TX area. This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays; company vehicle provided Eatonu2019s Critical Power Solutions Division delivers the confidence of uninterrupted power when it matters most. We design and manufacture advanced UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution solutions that keep businesses running in the most demanding environments. As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. From mission-critical facilities to complex energy management challenges, we partner with customers as trusted advisors, delivering innovative solutions and technical expertise that safeguard operations and maximize uptime The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $101000 a year. This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience: u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. u2022 Three (3) years of Power Systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience; including relevant coursework and internship experience. u2022 Posses and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver's license. u2022 Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings. u2022 Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle. u2022 Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter. u2022 Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances. We will not consider candidates who: u2022 Reside outside the greater Houston, TX area. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following: u2022 Associateu2019s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bacheloru2019s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience. u2022 Three (3)+ yearsu2019 experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics. u2022 Electrical Technology Certificate. u2022 Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques. u2022 Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits. u2022 Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment. u2022 Collaborate with Field Service Technicians; taking direction from on-site leads.
