Eatonu2019s division is currently seeking a Model Shop Machinist V- PST. The hours for the role are 7am-3:30pm The hourly rate for this position is $35-$47, with $1.50 PST Premium per hour. What youu2019ll do: The Production Support Technician will be responsible for communication and coordinate with the machining manager regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery among other tasks.This role is a Working Level V machinist Role. The PST proportion will only consume approx. 20% of the work load.The remainder of the time will be operating as a Machinist procuring Tooling and Development hardware and supporting operations. If this is a re-evaluation of an existing role, highlight the job responsibilities that are new to the role. u2022 Monitors back log in the Model Shop booking log u2022 Collaborates with shop manager, PMu2019s and MEu2019s on the priorities of active workload within the team u2022 Monitors and replenishes consumable tooling and machine tool consumable. u2022 Collaborates with shop manager on the current and future states for the model shop u2022 Participates in the evaluations of new and existing team members u2022 Leads activities in the mentoring of less experienced model shop machinists u2022 Willingness to participate in internal design reviews u2022 Collaborates with shop manager on utilization of shop resources and time management of the team u2022 Set up and operate CNC and manual machining centers and tooling to fabricate high quality, high precision parts used on Aerospace Platforms. u2022 Inspect machined parts to drawing requirements. u2022 Programming and posting of tool paths, tool selection, and feeds and speeds into CNC machine tools using MasterCAM (or similar CAM Software) u2022 Use of SolidWorks for model review and feature retrieval. u2022 Participate in internal design reviews to build a more in-depth understanding of the current product lines. u2022 Perform preventative machine tool maintenance such as inspecting/replacing fluids and addressing issues that could lead to damage or performance issues with the machine tools. u2022 Willingness to multitask and operate multiple machines u2022 Work with Design/Development Engineers during product development including assisting Engineers with understanding practical machining practices
