Data Center Technician

Description Job Functions: u00b7 Manages infrastructure installation requests from initiation to closure u00b7 Reports to the Infrastructure Manager. u00b7 Supports building Power Downs/Single Sided Events. u00b7 Certify infrastructure network connections and peripherals prior to handing off to DCS. u00b7 Interface with the BAU team to provide any additional infrastructure u00b7 Interface with the BUu2019s, Hines engineering. u00b7 Coordinates work requests with electrical contractor to ensure all Service Levels are met. u00b7 Provides detailed estimates of assigned projects, documents requirements through direct communication with other members of IT or Project Management team as well as interpretation of schematics and drawings. u00b7 Create Tickets/TCMs & monitor for approval, Closeout/Cancel them once work is complete. u00b7 Coordinate power remediation from start to completion. u00b7 Assist with rack level capacity management and MOA monitoring. u00b7 Participate in any and all meetings pertaining to BAU or projects INF work. u00b7 Provides Root Cause Analysis reports regarding power issues. u00b7 Coordinate the Infrastructure Installs including but not limited to the following: u2022 Survey for Power installs. u2022 Infrastructure & Rack installs. u2022 Survey for Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber and copper). u2022 New Data Center Build-outs. u00b7 Equipment Procurement: u2022 Responsible for the ordering of all infrastructure materials. u2022 Responsible for tracking Purchase Orders. u2022 Tracking Infrastructure Stock.
