Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller / Controller to join our team in the NW suburbs. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective management of accounting processes. If you are interested, please reach out to Steve Cashman on LinkedIn or call Steve at 612.446.5690 Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee audit procedures. u2022 Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering collaboration and growth focused on attention to detail. u2022 Streamline accounting workflows and improve organizational efficiency. u2022 Manage and utilize accounting software, including advanced features in Microsoft Excel. u2022 Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting to maintain fiscal health. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals. u2022 Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard financial assets. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. u2022 Strong proficiency in accounting software, with experience in NetSuite preferred. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. u2022 Solid understanding of compliance, financial regulations, and audit processes. u2022 Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Proven leadership and team management skills. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
