FTE: 0.500000 Standard Hours: 20.00 Shift: Shift 4 ShiftDetails: 20 hours per week working when needed Holidays: every otherWeekends: every other Job Summary: This position performs food serviceduties related to the service of hot and cold foods to all customers,hospital patients, staff and visitors. This position is responsible toserve attractive and nutritious food to the patients while practicingproper food safety techniques and maintaining established departmentquality standards. Provides meal tray delivery directly to patientsverifying accuracy and protecting confidentiality. Duties includeassembly of patient trays on the room service line; sanitation ofequipment and small wares; stocking assigned areas; dish washing, andoverall department sanitation. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of previous food service experience ina healthcare setting is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High Schooldiploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Demonstrates good communication, interpersonal and customer serviceskills necessary to interact with patients, visitors, and staff in acourteous manner. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of trayassembly and delivery. Strong organization skills, and the ability tomulti-task is required.
