FTE: 0.600000Standard Hours: 24.00 Shift: 1st Shift Details: Monday - Wednesday0830-1700, every third weekend 0900-1700, along with an holiday rotation0730-1630 Summary: A Medical Lab Scientist and Medical Lab Technicianperform laboratory procedures using established and approved protocolsthat require the broad exercise of independent judgment andresponsibility with minimal technical supervision. Our laboratoryprofessional is responsible for quality control instrument maintenanceand specimen procurement and processing. Other duties as assigned. (u-s)Medical Lab Scientist Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in MedicalTechnology or related science is required within 60 days of hire.Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) Certification by the American Society forClinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent is required within 6 months ofhire. Medical Lab Tech Qualifications: Associate degree in LaboratoryScience or Medical Laboratory Technology including an internship at anaffiliated laboratory from an accredited institution is required within60 days of hire. MLT (ASCP) certification is required within 6 months ofhire.
