FTE: 0.500000 Standard Hours: 20.00 Shift: Shift 2 ShiftDetails: A week= Tuesday: 3-9, Saturday: 8:30-5pm, Sunday: 8:30-5pm; Bweek= Monday: 3-9, Wednesday: 3-9pm, Friday: 3-9pm Job Summary: TheAccess Services Representative responds to incoming calls from bothinternal and external callers which may include, but are not limited to,patients, visitors, hospital staff, clinic staff, and physicians.Patient calls to the After Hours Answering Service are documented usingan encounter in EPIC, the electronic medical record. After-hoursanswering service for Home Care Medical and Horizon Home Care & Hospicepatient calls are completed using the SPOK directory. Assistance is alsoprovided to other work groups as needed. Assists in orienting andtraining new and existing employees. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of customer serviceexperience is required. Previous telecommunications and hospitalexperience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma orequivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Strong data entry,organizational and multi-tasking skills is required. Demonstrates asolid working knowledge of the communication devices and software withthorough understanding of the AMCOM system. Familiarity with the generalusage and spelling for specific medical terminology. Proficient in theuse of Microsoft Office products. Experience with the Electronic MedicalRecord, Epic is a plus.
