JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: Froedtert CommunityHospital, the ED unit at Oak Creek is seeking nursing professionals tojoin our team. Discover. Achieve. FTE: 0.900000 Standard Hours: 36.00 Shift: Shift 3 Shift Details:1915-0715 ED RN - Float between our 4 FCH sites (Mequon, New Berlin, OakCreek and Pewaukee) Job Summary: Performs primary nursing functions ofassessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in theemergency department to patients of all ages suffering from varioustypes of illness or trauma. The RN serves as a professional role modelby collaborating with clinical and front office staff, administrationand other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care isdelivered to optimal patient outcomes. Other Duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospitalinpatient/telemetry unit or equivalent experience is required. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at alevel normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two yearseducation at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible forlicensure as a Registered Nurse is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or aMulti-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (NurseLicensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Supportfor the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent isrequired within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and American Heart Association(AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within one yearof hire. Trauma Nurse Course certification (TNCC) is preferred.
